Your Choice
BookWorth works without an account. Guest collections stay on your device. If you create an optional account, BookWorth uses your email address to authenticate you and privately sync your saved book records.
Photos and Text Recognition
Photos submitted for cover or copyright-page recognition are sent securely to the BookWorth processing service. They are not publicly available. Individual-identification photographs are deleted immediately after analysis; transient results and abandoned uploads expire within 15 minutes. Extracted text is saved only when you choose to save the related book record.
AI Sell Assist and Full Shelf Scan
When you choose these Premium features, selected photographs are sent through BookWorth's backend to its configured AI provider to identify visible book information, assess only visible condition details for selling assistance, or detect shelf spines. Provider response storage is disabled and BookWorth does not use photographs to train models. Sell Assist photographs are discarded after the request. Shelf photographs and private spine crops are cached only to support progress, review, retry, and resume, and expire within 15 minutes. Do not photograph people or private documents. AI results are recommendations that you must verify.
Cloud Accounts
Supabase provides account authentication and cloud storage. BookWorth does not store your password. Signed-in collections, including saved edition analysis and valuation records, are associated with your account. Custom cover photos remain only on the device where you selected them.
Book and Market Services
Search terms, ISBNs, and book details may be sent to BookWorth's service providers, including Google Books, Open Library, and eBay, to identify books and find relevant market information. Hosting providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address and timestamps for security and reliability.
No Tracking or Sale
BookWorth does not sell personal information, run advertising, track you across other companies' apps and websites, or use third-party advertising analytics.
Retention and Deletion
Guest records remain until you remove them or delete the app. Cloud records remain until you delete individual books or use Delete Account & Cloud Data in the Account screen. Account deletion permanently removes the account and its cloud library.
Children and Policy Changes
BookWorth is not directed to children under 13. This policy may be updated as BookWorth changes; the effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
